Minneapolis VA Healthcare System

Thank you for your interest in the Minneapolis VA Health Care System Dietetic Internship!

Our program:
  • Is ACEND-accredited* for 8 interns per cycle
  • Is 39 weeks, with a Medical Nutrition Therapy concentration
  • Includes an allocation of approximately $23,400 paid to each student
  • Provides approx. 1400 hours (August to May; see FAQ for more specifics on internship calendar) of rotations in clinical dietetics, food service management and community nutrition as well as 13 paid vacation days (federal holidays and a week at Christmas or New Year's)
  • Offers 3 tracks- MS Online/DI or MPS/DI for Bachelor's students, or DI Only for Master's students.  Please see the information tab for more details.
  • Has a one-year pass rate of 100% on the RD exam and a one-year job placement rate of 100%.
