Loma Linda Application Information
Admission Requirements
- Have a verification statement from a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) or Foreign Dietitian Education program (FDE) and have earned at least a master’s degree granted by a U.S. accredited college/university or foreign equivalent. Official transcripts and a DPD Verification Statement signed by the DPD program director are required.
- Applicants MUST be a US citizen.
- Males MUST have registered for selective service or be exempt to be eligible to apply to this program. If matched to our program, males will be required to provide verification of their status through Selective Service Online Registration Search.
- Minimum GPA for application is 3.0 in cumulative overall GPA from the DPD granting institution, DPD Science GPA, and DPD Professional GPA. NOTE: If your DPD requirements were completed greater than five years ago you must also provide a transcript which includes six or more recent credit hours from an Advanced Level Nutrition or Medical Nutrition therapy class and a Physiology class to meet our programs Recency of Education requirements.
- Professional resume including paid and volunteer work. Dietetics experiences are helpful.
- 3 letters of recommendation: 2 from college professors and/or program director and 1 from a work supervisor.
- Completion of Pre-interview questions in DICAS.

- What personal attributes will contribute to the program and to the profession?
- What are your short- and long-term professional goals?
Applicants must register online through DICAS | Applicant Login Page Section (liaisoncas.com) for computer matching and select dietetic internship choices. DICAS can be contacted via email at dicasinfo@dicas.org. There is a $45 fee for your first application and $25 for each additional application paid to DICAS.
Applications are due no later than January 15th.
Accepting Spring applicants only.
Selection Process:
- All interested applicants should consider attending an Open House. Dates pending
- Completed applications are reviewed and scored by the selection committee and director.
- Interviews will be scheduled for applicants who meet the minimum program requirements. All interviews will be conducted virtually with the selection committee and director. An interview notification email will be sent to the email address provided on the applicants DICAS application.
- Program will notify applicants on or before March 1st.
- Applicant’s decision to accept appointment will be required by March 15th.
