James A. Haley (Tampa) Veterans' Hospital Dietetic Internship Program
The James A. Haley VA Hospital Dietetic Internship program is 42 weeks in length and offers a Generalist emphasis. We have been accredited since 1982 and appoint 6 Dietetic Interns each class year. The experiences and challenges you will face here will prepare you for passing the RD exam. More importantly, this program will prepare you for a career in the exciting field of nutrition. The curriculum is comprised of integrated didactic and clinical learning experiences with classes, lectures and field trips by members of the hospital staff and outside faculty supplementing the interns' experiences. The dietetic internship is a great step towards continuing your education and professional development and the program offered at James Haley is an excellent place to continue your career.
